President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to be patient with his administration, adding that the present administration was on the right path to make Nigeria greater.
Buhari’s plea to Nigerians was conveyed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday, May 23, in Lagos when he represented the president at the commissioning of police metro patrol vehicles and power bikes donated by the administration of Governor Akinwumi Ambode.
“We are convinced that we are on the right path. We urge Nigerians to patiently work with this government.
“This country is going to be a nation of abundance and prosperity,” Osinbajo said.
The vice president who said Buhari was repairing the damage of the past noted the president had asked him to assure the people of Lagos and all Nigerians that the administration was on the path of progress.
Meanwhile, as May 29 approaches, President Buhari is said to be under immense pressure to sack some of his aides and ministers for lack of performance.
A report by Nigerian Pilot reveals that a performance evaluation reports confidentially carried out by a select committee advised the president to “reorganise his cabinet”.
The president is said to have been upset by reports of disagreements among his appointees, non-performance of most of them and the allegations of corrupt practices that has been made against some of them.
