The Dutchman was informed of his sack when he arrived Carrington on Monday, May 23
Loius Van Gaal and his Dutch back room staff have been sacked despite winning the FA Cup on Saturday May 21.
The Dutchman was informed of his sack at approximately 8.45am after his resumed work at Carrington on Monday morning.
With Van Gaal’s exit, Jose Mourinho’s appointment all but looks certain.
Recall that reports emerged on same day that Manchester United paid Mourinho a staggering £4million to reject the advances of any club looking to his services.
Mourinho is expected to be given £200m to spend on new players when he signs a five-year contract worth £75m.
