Wife of Nigeria’s Senate President, Mrs. Toyin Saraki and members of the Senators’ Wives Forum (8th Session) have felicitated with Muslim faithful as they mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement released by the Forum’s Secretariat, Forum President, Mrs. Saraki, expressed gratitude to Allah for the gift of life and called on the Muslim faithful to continue to pray for the unity and growth of Nigeria beyond the Ramadan period.
She also enjoined them to remember to be charitable towards one another, especially the needy.
“For as long as we share, the love that binds us together as a people will continue to grow stronger” , Mrs Saraki added.

Mrs. Saraki on behalf of the Senators’ Wives Forum also expressed the hope that the nation will continue to enjoy peace and improved health for all citizens, especially disadvantaged women and girls.
Meanwhile, as soon as the Sultan of Sokoto announced July 17 as the day to mark Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, President Muhammadu Buhari released a message dedicated to the end of Ramadan.
He said Nigeria is currently experiencing a challenging period, which required patience, understanding and cooperation.
However, Buhari urged residents to support him adding that it was very important for the presidency.
The politician noted that he understood the feelings of those who wanted positive change to come faster and assured Nigerians of his sincere and resolved commitment to building a prosperous country.
Eid el-Fitr, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
