Chaos In Enugu again?
The reports of the planned attack has thrown the community in a state of confusion as residents have deserted their homes on Thursday, May 12, to avoid a repeat of the carnage that occurred when the rampaging herdsmen attacked Ukpabi Nimbo community two weeks ago.
According to Daily Post, an indigene of the community resident in Abuja sent a distress message to the “police in Enugu state to rise up to this grave security challenge to avert a repeat of Ukpabi Nimbo attack”.
The distressed indigene whose name was not given said his community has been deserted, as women, children and the elderly have been moved to Enugu and neighboring communities of Aku, Affa and Egede following the threat of an attack by the herdsmen.
He said the herdsmen threatened to attack Nze community after having a misunderstanding with farmers in Udi recently over their cows.
Meanwhile, suspected Fulani herdsmen responsible for the recent killing of scores of villagers in Ukpabi Nimbo community in Enugu state have been arrested.
